LeRoy Kurimay

Funeral Assistant

Lee has a wide range of interests beginning with his family. Together they spend weekends at their lake cabin on the same lake where Lee has been enjoying summers since his youth. Activities include boating and water sports, swimming, the outdoor fireplace, the barbeque and entertaining. The view from their deck is marvelous. Additionally, Lee and his wife Jan travel around exploring our beautiful region by car and occasionally flying off to Florida to enjoy some sun and warm weather.

Tom Olson

Funeral Assistant - Properties Manager

Tom's interests include traveling along the North Shore of Minnesota with his wife Sherry. In his youth Tom's family would spend summers on the North Shore , his love of the area came from those summers. Cars are prime interest, being a MSRA member they look forward to the "Back to the Fifties" weekend with their 1964 Red Corvette. There is also one in the restoration waiting for its debut there.

Ken B. Peterson CFSP

Funeral Director Emeritus

I started my career at Johnson Peterson in 4th grade assisting at visitations and funerals. I realized at that time I wanted to be able to help and serve people at a time of need. I am a graduate of Winona State University with a BS in Art Education and the University of Minnesota with a BS in Mortuary Science. Throughout my career in funeral service, I have been active in community service and professional associations. I have served twice as president of the Minnesota Funeral Directors Association, Executive Board Member of the National Funeral Directors Association and past president of the Minnesota Foundation for Children, which sponsors Camp Amanda which has grown to be Children's Grief Connection with Hearts of Hope Camp and Teen Retreat, a grief camp for children, of which I am the camp photographer.

Ken died on April 17, 2022. Thanks, Ken for your dedication to funeral service and all the families you served.
