Died June 27, 2018 in West St. Paul.
Born April 4, 1926 in Harris, Minnesota to Tennie and Ingeborg Carlson.
Graduate of the Mounds-Midway School of Nursing.
Married December 28, 1948, to Albert C. Ahlquist.
Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, and her daughter Julie Ann.
Survived by brother Curtis Carlson; children Pamela (Joey) Newman, David (Susan) Ahlquist, Calvin (Carol) Ahlquist, Dale (Laura) Ahlquist, Carla (John) Heldt; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
Virginia was a faithful Christian woman who loved God and loved her neighbors. A longtime member of Riverview Baptist Church, she touched many lives with her pure spirit and her constant prayer. She visited the sick and the neglected, corresponded with prisoners, supported mission work, and taught children's Sunday School for over 30 years. She was filled with gratitude all the days of her life.
Funeral Service 11 am, Saturday July 7, 2018, at Riverview Baptist Church, 14 E. Moreland, W. St. Paul. Visitation at the church, 10 am. Private Interment.
