Thomas Robert Moehrle (age 59), died peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Tom courageously fought a three-year battle with glioblastoma multiforme brain cancer. During his treatment, he underwent three surgeries. A man of deep faith, he never complained about the challenges he faced, or the complications of cancer.

He was raised in White Bear Lake, the second of five children born to Robert and Mary Moehrle. After graduating from White Bear High School in 1979, he attained an Associate of Arts degree in horticulture which gave him a foundation in the care of plants and flowers. Throughout his life, Tom shared his green thumb and gardening talents while tending the yards and gardens of his family and friends.

Tom was a very patient, kind-hearted and forgiving person; he made those around him want to be more like him! He worked at Cerenity Care Center (White Bear Lake Care Center) for forty years, starting in high school, as a nursing assistant where he provided loving care for residents, and later moving to a maintenance position where he cared for the building and grounds. Over the years, he formed many lasting friendships with his coworkers and residents at Cerenity.

He was an avid outdoorsman! Aside from worshiping at Eagle Brook Church, sharing time with his children Amber, Ashley and David in a garden, fishing boat, duck blind, or deer stand was how he wanted to spend his free time. In recent years, Tom was also a constant companion for his mom; they could often be spotted together at various garden centers, discount stores, or Perkins and other local restaurants. His grandson Loki stole his heart when he was born last year. Family was everything to him; he enjoyed hosting barbeques and gatherings. Everyone could always count on Tom for some good jokes around the bonfire pit!

Tom is survived by his loving mother, Mary Moehrle; Children: Amber Moehrle, Ashley Moehrle (Matt Vrieze), David Moehrle (Erin); Grandson: Loki; Siblings: Donna Hinrichs, Patrick (Renee), Marianne (Dellis) Lenz, and Karen (Cadex) Herrera; Feline Companions: Lola and Brandi ("his kids").

Throughout his entire journey with cancer, Tom kept his faith in God and approached each new hurdle with a positive attitude. Rest easy. We love you and miss you.
