Shannon Rose
Kehoe
Feb 25, 1959 — Sep 30, 2019
White Bear lake
Shannon Rose Kehoe, age 60, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her children and family on September 30 th , 2019. Shannon was born on February 25 th , 1959 in St. Paul, MN, to Cecil and Larene Kehoe. Shannon grew up in White Bear Lake, and that is where she spent her life. Shannon worked at White Bear Floral, as she had a love for flowers, also as Home Health Aide, where she provided tender loving care to those who were ill. Shannon's most recent job was as a Kitchen Manager, where she provided meals for residents in a transitional home. She often spent her own money on treats and holidays to help make them more special for the residents; that is the kind of person Shannon was.
Her family was the most dear thing to her. Her Mother Larene, her Father Cecil, her sisters: Pat, Kathy, Joan, Maureen, and Colleen; her brothers: Tom and Mike. She loved growing up in a large Irish Catholic family & had many wonderful memories from her childhood.
Shannon has 3 beloved children: Emily, Nathan & Maggie. She loved to teach Emily about cooking, baking and gardening. A favorite memory between Shannon and Emily was a wonderful trip to Florida together, where Shannon got to see the ocean for the first time. Shannon was incredibly proud of her baby boy, Nathan. She and Nathan enjoyed talking history together, and they both shared a love of the same types of music. She was so proud of Nathan's military service. Her baby girl, Maggie, was the apple of her eye. They both shared a love of cooking and baking, and enjoyed sharing recipes with each other, and loved having many long chats with eachother. Shannon loved antiques and passed that love on to her daughters, whom she loved going antique shopping with.
Shannon has 4 beautiful grandchildren who she loved more than anything. Jayna, Elyza, Eli and Adelin. They called her Gwam, Yamma & Gramma. Shannon loved to give the kids lots of candy, and the kids sure loved it too. The kids loved sleeping over at Gramma's house, where Gramma taught them how to bake, taught them about birds and gardening, enjoyed going to the dollar store together, and loved all the wonderful cuddles, hugs and kisses from Gwam. Her grandkids were her pride and joy, and they will miss her so very much.
Shannon was an example to us all in her love of life's simple pleasures; she loved things such as a cloudy, windy, fall day, working on her beautiful patio flowers, watching the birds, reading a good book, and taking a drive to the country with her siblings. Shannon enjoyed baking, cooking, and cuddling kids and grandkids. She sure loved her diet coke and peanut M & M's, which were a daily staple in her diet. Shannon loved just being a homebody in her cozy house, which was adorned with antiques, to include many books, birds, and birdhouses. She loved to display notes, pictures, and photos from her kids and grandkids. Everything in her home had a story or history.
Shannon's strong faith guided her through the ups and downs of life. She loved volunteering to water flowers at church, along with doing Eucharist Adoration each week. Her strong faith in God and Heaven is what helped carry herself and her family through her illness, knowing that Shannon would be welcomed into the arms of God and be able to see her parents and loved ones in heaven.
Shannon is preceded in death by parents Cecil & Larene Kehoe, infant son Ricky, brother Michael & brothers-in-law Jeff Krasean and Ron Bringgold. Dear mother of Emily (Jared) Pesta, Nathan (Rochelle) Schwalbach, Maggie (Nick Bruton) Kehoe-Nash; Loving Grandma of Jayna, Elyza, Eli and Adelin; beloved sister of Pat Krasean, Kathy (Pat) Peterson, Tom (Ramona) Kehoe, Joan (Tom) LeTourneau, Maureen (Denny) Anthony, and Colleen (Roy) Gillette, along with many beloved nieces and nephews; and family, and former husband and friend, Rick Schwalbach.
