Wife, Mom, Grandma
Age 82
of Inver Grove Heights
Beloved wife, devoted mother and loving grandmother, passed away on January 26, 2018 surrounded by her family. Sally was born on August 4, 1935 in West Saint Paul to Clarence and Martha Danner. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Ralph Carlson and her three loving sons, Paul Carlson (Martha) of Chicago, IL;
Eric Carlson
(Bridget) of Montclair, NJ; and Brad Carlson of Overland Park, KS. She also leaves seven adoring grandchildren: Carina, Anika, Callum and Gabrielle Carlson of Chicago, along with August, Catherine and Helena Carlson of Montclair. And many dear nieces and nephews. After her sons were older, Sally enjoyed her time working for the U.S. Department of Agriculture until retiring with her husband to live on Shirt Lake, near Deerwood, MN. The couple spent 17 blessed years on the lake, where Sally enjoyed baking cookies for her visiting grandchildren and watching them swim and play all day. Sally was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Martha Danner, brothers Darwin (Mildred) Danner & John "Jack" Danner, and sisters Lois (Harold) Carnes & Patricia (George) Ribbentrop. Funeral service Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 11AM at Good Shephard Lutheran Church, 6700 Cahill Ave. IGH with visitation starting at 9:30AM at church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be sent to either the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or Children's Hospital of Minnesota.
