Passed away peacefully surrounded by family Aug. 10th. Born Dec 9, 1933 in Barnum, MN and grew up in Moose Lake. Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Hazel Cartford. Survived by his wife, Helen married 59 years July 27th; daughter, Barbara and son, Charles (Julie) and grandsons, Samuel and Benjamin. Brothers, Larry & Bruce (Kay) and a sister, Glenda (Bob) Wallace, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Employee of MN/DOT for 40 years. Active volunteer at Bethesda Hospital and First Lutheran Church. He loved to bowl, golf and walk. Visitation on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016 from 9-11 AM at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH; 4000 Linden Ave; White Bear Lake, MN with celebration of life service at 11:00 followed by lunch at church. Family interment at Evergreen Memorial Garden. Memorials preferred to First Lutheran Church.
