Phyllis was born March 15th, 1926, in Minneapolis, MN, to Alfred and Agnes Johnson. Her family moved to Sandstone, MN at the age of 8 where she met and married her husband, Raymond T Christensen, on September 27th, 1948. They were married 61 years when Ray passed away in 2010. After raising her two children, Phyllis went to work at West Publishing and was there until her retirement in 1989. Phyllis and Ray were founding members of the Y's Men Club of the West St Paul, YMCA, and long time members of St Stephen's Lutheran Church. Phyllis is survived by her children, Linda Christensen, Mark (Sandy) Christensen, four grandchildren, Andrew (Faith) Shulze, Melissa (Mark) Pelland, Sarah and Julia Christensen, and four great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM, on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at St Stephen's Lutheran Church , in West St. Paul. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service at the church. Interment will be at Acacia Park Cemetery in Mendota Heights. Memorials preferred to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church.
