Obituary

Mavis Lee Naseth, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend to many has passed on March 4, 2020. Born on May 13, 1941 in Lake City, MN to Karl Klaus and Jane Anna Tombarge. She was blessed to be the twin of Mary Lou Linder (Gene) and sister to Karen Fabian (Dale). Mavis was a proud 1959 graduate of Red Wing High School. Mavis married William Naseth in 1959 and was blessed with three children: Rodney Naseth (Mia), Terry Naseth (Mary) and Erika Krueger (Chad). Her little "Marigold" grandchildren are: Camri (Ambrose), Sofia, Max, Emily, Natasha, Madeline, and Olivia. "Marigold" great-grandchildren Freya and Ambrose. Mavis leaves behind countless nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mavis is proceeded in death by her parents Karl and Jane Tombarge and granddaughter Kara Smalley (Ben).

The Marigold was Mavis's favorite flower. Ironically, it represented who she was as a person. She loved gardening and animals; which one could say were mutually comforting to both Mavis and the flowers and animals who were graced with her care. She was an avid sewer and you truly felt her love in the wonderful projects she created and gifted to people. John Grisham books were her favorite as well as Sci-fi books. Which naturally makes it appropriate that her favorite perfume was Avon's Odyssey. So, as we celebrate the life of Mavis remember gratitude. Remember that Mavis lived her life with grace and gratitude for her many blessings. Celebrate and remember Mavis by planting marigolds in your garden and allow them to give you comfort, joy and gratitude.
