Lloyd Michael
Haumschild
Aug 18, 1950 — Jun 7, 2019
Minnesota
A few things about Lloyd.
Lived: Grew up in Vadnais Heights, moved to White Bear Lake in 1965
School District: White Bear Lake
Church: St. Pius X
Graduated from WBHS in 1969
Served honorably in the Army, serving 2 terms in Vietnam
Activities: Played Softball, gravitated toward Umpiring Softball. Umpired for many years, both in league and tournament play.
Married: 1992 to Maria "Carmen"
Maria had two daughters: Sharifa and Hussnia
Together, they raised their daughters. Lloyd was so proud to be a Dad. As they matured and went their own way, he was always there to: Fix a car, repair an appliance, replace a faucet…you name it. He was always there to help out.
Each of the girls has two children. Lloyd would do anything for them. He was a very proud and happy grandparent. He would spend as much time with them as he could. From transporting them to school and other activities to watching and even announcing Hockey games. There was nothing that he wouldn't do for the grandkids. He did this up to the point when he could no longer drive. He didn't want to miss ANYTHING concerning his grandkids.
He went to his grandchildren's baseball games and volunteered there all the time. Lloyd traveled with his wife and grandchildren to Panama to visit family a few times. He also enjoyed going to see his grandchild perform musical theatre in Minneapolis for the past 8 years. He enjoyed helping neighbors with their yard and anytime they were in need.
Growing up, Lloyd didn't have the attention given to him that he gave to his family. His father died when he was just 14. His mom had to work 2 jobs to keep the house, put clothes on our back, and food in our bellies. He had to find his own way to his activities and enjoy them by himself.
I'm sure that he wasn't going to let that happen to his kids or grandkids. He was one of the kindest persons around. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
