Jon "Jonny" Schlussler, age 46, passed away on August 28 ^th 2020.  He was born on May 10, 1974 to Terry and Jan Schlussler.

Jonny is survived by his mom, Jan Schlussler, and her life partner, Roger Hodge, his sister and her family, Jodell, Tim, Lydia and Alex Langevin.  Jonny is also survived by his lifelong friend (literally since daycare), Bill Jones.  Jonny is preceded in death by his father, Terrance Schlussler, grandparents, Robert and Ardis Bast, Lois Nagel and his uncle Greg Schlussler.

Jonny grew up on the West Side of St. Paul.  He graduated from Humboldt High School in 1993.  Jonny had a love for sports as a young child and through his teenage years.  He played football starting with the West Side Boosters.  He played football and basketball during his high school years and continued to be an avid sports fan and loved to attend live games.

Jonny loved any kind of fishing, except walleyes.  He spent many hours in his boat with his beloved fishing buddy, Pac.  Through the years he caught many trophy fish of crappies, bass and muskies.  His favorite fishing lakes included Waukenabo and Crooked Lake.  At Waukenabo he learned the art of fishing from his Grandpa Bast.  Jonny was always willing to teach his skill of fishing to his family and friends.

He may have had a lot of tattoos and looked like a tough guy who always was wearing a T-shirt that offended half the people and made the other half laugh, but all of his friends and family know that he was extremely caring, loyal, would help you any way he could, and could keep a secret better than anyone. Jonny was close to his family and friends and many memories will be cherished.
