John "Jack" Meyer (age 77) of Saint Paul, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Jack was born in St. Paul, MN, on December 7, 1948.  He graduated from Hayfield High School in 1966.  He enlisted with the Air Force, served a tour in Vietnam, and was honorably discharged in 1972.

Back in the day, Jack enjoyed pheasant hunting (he was a better cook than gatherer), playing baseball and softball, fishing (again, he was a better cook than catcher), tinkering with cars, and listening to music (no Stevie, you can't have his album collection).

Jack married his wife, Colleen (Harpenau), in October 1998.  He is survived by Colleen; his two daughters, Katie Willow and Sara (Juan) Torres; granddaughters Alexis, Camilla, Gabriella, and Aubrie.  He is also survived by his brothers William (Carolyn), Bob (Maureen), Don, Steve (Denise) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Delores, sister Barbara Geray, parents-in-law Rita and Isidore Harpenau, and sisters-in-law Julie Layeux and Grace Rutan.

A memorial service will be held at Johnson-Peterson Funeral Home (612 Smith Avenue, St. Paul, MN) on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 3:00 PM with a visitation 1 hour prior.
