Jerome "Jerry" Petersen was born on September 22, 1940, to George and Francis Petersen. He was the oldest of 3 children and grew up in West St Paul.

Jerry married Janice Petersen in 1963.  He took in Janice's 3 children as if they were his own. They settled into Inver Grove Heights and went on to have 3 more children.

He and Janice created Petersen Home Delivery in which they employed many teenagers in the surrounding areas.  Later, Jerry worked as a cable TV installer until his retirement.

Jerry enjoyed fishing, playing cards, spending time with his beloved grandkids and solving the world's problems with his cohorts at Stockmen's restaurant.

Survived by his brother Jeff (Kathy), daughter Cindy Zellen, sons Dana (Annette), Mark, and Donald (Melissa), and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife Janice, father George, mother Francis, sister Janice Hill, and sons Glenn and Douglas
