Age 74 Of Grand Marais, MN & Mission, TX Formerly of White Bear Lake, MN Passed away March 30, 2014 in Mission, TX. Born 4/7/1939 in St. Paul, MN to James and Esther Hostrawser. Graduated from White Bear High School, Class of 1957, served in the U.S. Navy 1957-1961. Preceded in death by his parents, and his inlaws Carl & Laura Carlson. Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Carol; children Dawn Leckenby of White Bear Lake, Rose Lyng (Kent) of Lena, WI, Sue Hostrawser-Meile (Todd) and Mark of Hugo, MN; grandchildren Nicole & Heather Leckenby, Jennifer & Matthew Lyng, Amanda Hostrawser, Brady & Hannah Hostrawser-Meile, James and Joe Hostrawser; great grandchildren Ava, Harper and Braeden Hostrawser. Funeral Service Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 11AM at the Johnson-Peterson Funeral Home, 2130 2nd St., WBL. Visitation Wed. from 5-8PM and also 1 hour prior to the service. Burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Luncheon at the American Legion Club, 3rd St. WBL will follow the service. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
