Jeffrey Petersen, 71, of Rosemount, MN left this mortal earth on December 31 ^st , 2022, surrounded by his family.

Jeff had a smile, joke, and kind word for all. He is s urvived by wife, Kathy; daughter, Stephanie (Andy); granddaughters, Sylvia and Colette; family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer; parents, George and Frances Petersen; sister, Janice Hill Martin; brother, Jerome Petersen.

Jeff grew up in West St. Paul, MN in a very tight-knit family. He graduated from Sibley High School and earned his bachelor's degree from St. Thomas University. Jeff spent most of his career working as an accountant forging strong connections with his clients. Jeff and Kathy raised their family in South St. Paul, MN and most recently have resided in Rosemount, MN.

Jeff went out of his way to help those around him and had a kind word for all. He was known for his sense of humor, infectious laugh, and was surprisingly sentimental. And the man could sing.

Jeff enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and exchanging many a joke with his brother over breakfast each Sunday morning. He was the first to sign up for a road trip out West and had an uncanny knack for remembering every turn of the drive – even years later. He was well versed in true crime and mystery shows and was a long-standing Vikings fan. He will be deeply missed.
