Age 96, died August 31, 2016. The 6th of 7 children of Robert Smith and Dora Siewerdsen, she is preceded in death by 3 sisters and 3 brothers and by husband Roy "Blackie." Beloved mother of Jeanne Gibbs, Woodbury, Pat (Bob) Denny, St. Francis, Rita Hieb, Stacy, Roger (JoAnn) Flipp,

, Sue (Tom) Frankfurth, Forest Lake, Raymond (Barb
Asiafor
) Flipp, Inver Grove Heights, Robert (Char) Flipp, Stillwater. 16 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. Jean grew up on Big Stone Lake, SD, and lived her adult life in the Twin Cities. She is remembered for her kindness and love of fun. Private family gathering and Interment.
