Greg was beloved by his family and many friends. He loved coaching his son, nephews and the many other children on the West Side on the football and baseball fields or at the wrestling mats. Everyone on the West Side knew him and had a good story to tell about him either doing something mischievous, like breaking the rotating entry doors of the St. Paul Hotel! Or, making sure one of the kids he coached for the boosters got home safely when the weather was too cold to walk. His family meant everything to him. He touched a lot of lives and will be missed by many.
There are so many memories I have with my dad. One's off him attending field trips, to teaching me how to play baseball, riding my bike and just letting me use him as a jungle gym. He always knew how to make me smile or laugh. He was always good at cracking jokes or just being goofy in some way to make me feel better. He was always a good listener when I talked with him. He loved being a grandpa and was a good grandpa too. He liked being able to spend time and teach his grandkids things whenever he could. Him being around his grandkids made him feel younger and happier. There were so many ways to describe my dad. For me my dad had a good heart and tried his best at everything he did.
We love you, Dad.
