George H. Kirchner, 100, of Lilydale, formerly of Inver Grove Heights, passed away on August 5, 2025. George was born in Mendota on February 22, 1925., and was a lifelong resident of Dakota County.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 77 years Marian; parents Walter and Rose Kirchner; infant brother Walter; sisters Ethel Kirchner, and Dorothy Sell.

He is survived by sons Richard (Sara), Donald (MariJo); daughter Joyce (Patrick) Moynihan; grandchildren Tanya Kirchner, Tiffany (Joel) Bandstra, Jonathan (Abbey) Moynihan, and Michael Moynihan; great-grandchildren MacKenzie Wilson, Jaxson Bandstra, McKenna Moynihan and Brady Moynihan.

His family would like to thank Lilydale Senior Living and Ecumen Hospice for their loving, compassionate and professional care in his last days.

A Funeral will be Friday, August 22, 2025 at 11:00 with visitation one hour prior, at St. James Ev. Lutheran Church, 460 Annapolis St. W., West St. Paul, MN. Interment will be at the Fort Snelling Cemetery immediately after the funeral service with a luncheon to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Lutheran Hour Ministries or St. James Ev. Lutheran Church.
