It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Fred, 90 years. Fred was preceded in death by Parents; Fred and Margaret, Sisters; Julia, Lucy, Genevieve, Margaret, and Frances, and Brothers; Edward and Richard. Survived by Sister Irene, Wife Muriel (Jones), Children; Steven, Susan (Dan) Sumption, and Scott (Sue Larsen), Grandchildren; Kasey, Kaitlan (Tyler) Huber, and Denae, Great Grandchild Forrest Huber and many nieces and nephews.

Fred Kohler was born to a large farming family of Vadnais Heights, MN. He spent fourteen months in Korea during the Korean War and was a proud veteran. After spending many years continuing the farming business he retired to Hugo, MN. He was a simple man who lived a wholesome life. He enjoyed anything to do with tractors, owning many, and traveling around the country on various vacations. He spent a lot of time with his family and enjoyed his grandchildren. Fred was a story teller and a funny guy who always was saying something to make everyone in the room smile. He was an important part of many lives, he will be greatly missed by his family.

Visitation and prayer service will be Thursday, April 5 th 2018, 4-8 PM at Johnson-Peterson Funeral Home.  Followed by a private interment on Friday.
