Evelyn Mathilda Kanberg, 97, passed away Dec. 28th, 2015, in the home of her beloved Son, Loren and Daughter-in-law, Crystal located in Trego, MT.
Evelyn was born in Rush Point, MN, to Alfred and Gerda Johnson on August 1, 1918. She was the 2nd oldest of five children.
Evelyn graduated from Rush City High School in 1937 and then took business courses in St. Paul.  She worked at Bethseda Hospital in St. Paul for a year where she met her future husband Karl, who was employed there.
She married Karl Kanberg on May 5, 1945 and was blessed with their only son, Loren.
Evelyn enjoyed fishing, bowling, and spending time with her family.  She was a lifetime member of First Lutheran Church in White Bear Lake even after she moved to Kirkland, WA in 1988 to be closer to her son, Loren, and family. She moved again in April 2014 to live and to be cared for by her son and daughter-in-law in Trego, MT.
Evelyn retired from EcoLab where she worked for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Karl of 59 years, sisters, Linnea, Margaret, Inez, and brother, Walter.
Evelyn is survived by her son Loren and his wife, Crystal, five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
