Age 90, of West St. Paul, MN passed away peacefully on December 16, 2019 at United Hospital, St. Paul, MN. She was born March 21, 1929 at home in Dunn County, WI to Herman and Lottie (Stainer) Oebser
She grew up on a farm with her siblings and graduated from Colfax High School, WI, in 1947. Edith attended Dunn County Normal School and earned a teaching certificate. In 1970 she obtained a BS in Elementary Education from Wisconsin State University at Eau Claire, WI. Edith's teaching career included positions at Boyceville,WI, Mondovi,WI, Elroy-Kendall-Wilton,WI and Three Lakes,WI. Edith later on worked for the Minnesota State department of Education until her retirement. Edith will be dearly missed by her sisters, Lois Prochnow, of Menomonie, WI; Irene Hunt (Carl) of Chippewa Falls, WI; Loretta (Keith) Thompson of Cottage Grove, MN, Bernetta Du Bois (Everett) of Bainbridge Island, WA, brother, James Oebser (Claudeen) of Elk Mound, WI. She was preceeded in death by her parents, and one sister, Betty Winget. A graveside service will be at a later date in Menomonie Wi.
