Dorothy Jean Amacher (age 88) of Saint Paul, MN passed away peacefully on December 14 2025. She was born on June 29, 1937 to Evertt and Beatrice Nelson.

Dorothy was passionate about her position as secretary for Saint Paul Public Schools. She was a wonderful caregiver to her parents and a loving grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and grandkids.

Proceeded in death by Husband John Amacher; children Deborah Amacher, Wayne Amacher, siblings Jack Nelson and Janet Ryer.

Survived by her children Arnold Amacher and Charlene (Mark) Carter; and sister Karen Dahlman.

There will be a funeral service at Johnson-Peterson Funeral Home (612 Smith Ave, Saint Paul, MN 55107) on December 23, 2025 at 11AM with a visitation 1 hour prior. A graveside service will follow at Riverview cemetery at 12:15PM.
