Beverly Ann Bryant lived in Mississippi, Illinois, and Minnesota growing up.  She attended Humbolt High School and was involved in many groups such as theater, chorus, band, and various class committees. She made life-long friends with Peggy Bateman and Lorraine Pierce as well as many others. Bev graduated high school in 1958 and went on to St. Barnabus Nursing College and received a degree as a Registered Nurse in 1963.

In March of 1965 she married Duane Lund.  The two moved to St. Paul and started a family in December of 1966.  They then moved to Inver Grove Heights and stayed there while raising their family with three wonderful sons.

Bev was active in church as a Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School and Bible Camp volunteer, and as a leader of Confirmation classes.  She was also active in helping others through organizations such as Meals on Wheels.  She was selfless in raising her three sons by fishing, camping, travelling, and taking them to hockey practices, Cub Scoutsand part time jobs.

Bev worked at St. Luke's Hospital, several nursing homes, and then ended her career at Gorman Clinic as a triage nurse.  She retired from the profession she poured her heart into in 2003.  She continued to stay busy by travelling with her husband, gardening, bowling, playing bingo, reading, and singing in the Riverview Baptist choir.

Bev is a breast cancer survivor.  In 2012 she started showing signs of dementia and was diagnosed in 2013.  She moved into Walker-Methodist, Westwood Ridge in West Saint Paul in 2014 where she stayed until 2016 before moving to Autumn Glen in Coon Rapids to be closer to family. She enjoyed many activities that were offered at the facilities.

The thing we remember most about our mother was the undeniable fact that she always put God first in her life.  She cherished spending time with her family, not only on holidays but anytime we could get together.  There was always so much joy in her face the moment family arrived.  She was also the hardest working person we knew.  If something needed cleaning or painting, she was always right there to take care of it.  Often times she was the last one working long after the rest of us "gave up." She loved to bake cookies with the kids and grandkids, especially around Christmas.  Her favorites were chocolate crinkles, krumkake and spritz.  Her other favorite foodies included Coney Islands, homemade ice cream, ice tea, boiled peanuts and crepes.  What will be missed most about her is her immense kindness to everyone she ever met.

Our mom was always supportive of us in all that we did or wanted to do. If she felt we were going in the wrong direction, she would kindly talk with us about her thoughts and views on whatever the topic was. She always could turn a negative situation into a positive one. As we got older, there was a tendency to find excuses to not go to church after a late night out for work or play, but Mom always had encouraging words that would keep us on the right track and not let us slip away from what was most important – a Godly life. Mom played a huge role in shaping us, as well as our Christian faith – thank you, Mom!
