BETTY MARIE CHAPPELL

Betty aged 95, grew up in the Wisconsin Dells area and went to high school in  Portage, WI.  She earned a beautician certificate and later went to Wichita, KA to be married to Norman Howard Chappell.  After her husband came home from the war, they moved to the Beloit, WI area and then Rockton,Il where they lived for 43 years.  Mother was a watercolor and pastel artist and did several portriats for friends and her family.  She also played golf, loved to sew and read Danielle Steel books.  She and her husband enjoyed their cottage on Swan Lake near Portage, WI.  When she and Norman became ill they moved to White Bear Lake to be near their daughter.  She became a 16 year resident of Cerenity Care Center in White Bear Lake, where she made many friends of staff and residents.  She had a mind of her own and liked to tease and hand out chocolate to the staff.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband Norman H. Chappell and son-in-law James Kroesch.  She is survived by her daughter, Judith (Harvey) Caldwell and son  Norman W. Chappell (Marilyn) who reside in Las Vegas, NV.  Betty has 4 grandchildren,Michael (Molly), Amy (Joaquin), Jeff (Tanya) and Bradley.  She has 8 grandchildren, Amelia,  Noah, Isabela, Donny, Brandon, Aliya, Arianna and Shea.

She was much loved and will be missed.
