Barbara Joyce
Snyder
Dec 20, 1952 — Sep 24, 2018
Beloved wife, devoted mother and loving grandmother, passed away on September 24, 2018 surrounded by her family. Barb was born on December 20, 1952 in Minneapolis, to Elizabeth and Richard Swaser. She is survived by her husband of 43 years John Snyder and her two loving daughters, Micki Snyder of Inver Grove Heights, MN; and Jody Dell (Nate) of Mendota Heights, MN. She also leaves three adoring grandchildren: Parker, Asher and Zander. Brothers Douglas (Sue); Loren (Barb); Tim; Bob; Sister Linda.
Barb was dedicated to her family and work. She was in the mortgage banking business for over 45 years. She refused to retire until a week before her death due to her love of the business.
Barb had a love for life and adventure - she spent many days on her motorcycle with her husband John and their friends. She lived life in the Fastlane. Her other love was for her grandchildren. They brought more joy to her then she could have imagined.
Barb was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer (stage 3c) in May of 2015, A battle that nobody should have to face. Those who know Barb, know that when she did anything she gave it her all. It was no difference with her cancer journey. Barb fought the hardest fight all the way until her last breath. She was a true warrior and throughout her journey every time she was knocked down, she would pick up her sword and fight even harder. Unfortunately, the battle had to come to an end, but Barb did not lose this fight. Her body may have given up, but her fight never did. Her strength and resilience made her the incredible woman that she was.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth and Richard Swaser; step brother Harold; step sisters Lynell and Vernell.
