Age 93, died November 6, 2018. Survived by loving family Anne (Jim) Simila, Ellen (Trudell) Guerue, Craig Fleming, Curt (Ingrid) Fleming; 8 grandchildren Andrea, Brian, Scout, Maarja, Hunter, Winona, Nathan and Duncan; 3 great-grandchildren Miyanna, Madeline and Wesley; sister Martha Hammond; brother-in-law John Hammond; cousin Janet (Gary) Taylor and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband of 52 years, Col. Richard Fleming and by her sister Sue Hammond.  Barbara was an active member of First Parish Church, Brunswick, Maine for nearly 50 years.  She also enjoyed her involvement in regional United Church of Christ committee service, American Assoc. of University Women, League of Women Voters, Regional Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Moore Institute of Art Alumni and Harpswell Garden Club.

A service will be held at Cherokee Park United Church in St. Paul, MN. Barbara will be taken to her longtime home, Brunswick, Maine, mid-June, for a service and interment alongside her husband (arrangements TBA). Our hope is that many family members and friends will be able to join us for that celebration in Maine.
