Audrey Theodora Ward was born September 20 ^th 1923 in Inver Grove Heights.  The first of three daughters to Theodore and Frances Krech,  Audrey, Thelma and Marlene.  Audrey graduated from South St Paul High School on May 29 ^th 1941. After graduation she went to work for West Publishing in downtown St Paul.  There she met Russell "Red" Ward.  Not long after they met they started dating and Red went into the US Army and became a pilot. After WWII ended they were married on May 16 ^th 1946.  They lived in St Paul until their son Steven was born.  Soon after they built their first home in Mendota Heights.  Where they lived both their full lives.  Later bringing Elizabeth and Barbara into the world.  Audrey was a homemaker a great cook, seamstress gardener a crafter. She was an active member at St James Lutheran Church throughout her life.  Teaching Sunday School, being a part of Priscilla's and various Ladies groups, helping with the church needs.  She formed many friendships at St James that became her life long friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Thelma, son Steven, daughter Barbara.  She is survived by daughter Elizabeth (Tim) sister Marlene (Dennis). Grand Children Chad, Hannah, Samuel, Joseph, Tyler.  Great Grand Children, Brady, Lily, Maci. Many nieces and nephews.  Audrey will forever be remembered by Family dinners, her beautiful gardens, her love to laugh and how to butter your bread.
