Obituary

Angela Joy Deyo,
Beloved wife, Mom, Sister and Aunt

Angela was born on February 4, 1980 in St. Paul, MN.  She was a loving wife, devoted mother, sassy sister and compassionate friend.

She grew up in White Bear Lake.  She was the baby of the family, with two older sisters, Sherri and Bridget.  She looked up to her sisters and tried dancing at an early age like her older sister did.  She quickly found out it wasn't really her "thing".  She decided to try softball instead and found that it was her thing!  She was on a White Bear Lake recreation team called the Bodacious Babes.  The coach gave each of the girls a nick name.  Angela's nickname was Thunder because she hit the ball so hard it sounded like thunder.  We all have such fond memories of cheering for her at games!

She married her high school sweetheart, Dan, who also happens to be Sherri's husband's cousin.  Yes, that sounds weird to write.  We tease that she had a family tree that doesn't branch out too much.  They fell in love in high school and were blessed with three wonderful children, Parker, Maddisen and Gwendolyn. They celebrated 15 years of marriage this past August.  Her kids would describe her as loving, beautiful and strong.

As a family they enjoyed the outdoors.  They spent time at Barnacles Resort on Mille Lacs Lake in the summer time.  The kids enjoyed four wheeler rides, fishing and swimming in the lake.  Their furry dogs would also go with them, Suma, Timber and Willie.  They loved their momma so and would hover around her when she was at home.

When she wasn't at home caring for her family, she worked at Health East as a Cancer Care Financial Counselor.  She loved her job!  She knew that what she did was making a difference in the lives of her patients and she took great pride in that.  She teased that she took sensitivity training to the next level after she was diagnosed.  Even through all of her treatments she was always upbeat and laughing.  As she lost her hair, she learned a new skill: How to tie head scarves.  She got so good at it that her co-workers would send patients in to her office for little lessons on how to tie them.  It made her day to know that she was able to brighten her patients days by showing them how much she cared.

While Angela's life was short here on earth, she has touched many hearts along the way.  Her smile and laugh were infectious.  She had a quote on her Facebook profile a saying:  I'm not sure how my story will end, but never will it say that I gave up.   Let it be known that she never did give up!  She fought so hard even to the end.  We are sure that she would want to remind us of how important it is to live every day like it's your last because you never know when it will really be your last.   Angela:  "May the Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you."  Numbers 6:24-26

Angela was preceded in death by her Mother Denise, Grandpa Willard, Grandma Cleo, and Grandma Edie.
