Age 89 of Mendota Heights, Howie went home to be with The Lord on Sunday, February 7, 2010. Survived by loving wife of 62 years, Elizabeth "Liz"; children, Marge Cogger, Ginger (Jim) Walker, and Steve (Amy) Adams; grandchildren; Joe, Julie, Dan, Martin and Paul; 6 great grandchildren; niece, nephews, and many relatives and friends. Howie served in the Army during WWII. He retired as an engineer from Burlington Northern RR after 35 years. Funeral service Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 11AM at ST. JAMES LUTHERAN CHURCH, 460 Annapolis St.(Cherokee at Annapolis) W., WSP, with a gathering one hour before the service at church. Private interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. James Lutheran Church, WSP.
